Feeling Sure

What we all seem to want is a sure thing

With all the uncertainty and change in the world, we want to know someone loves us as a constant

Of course there’s no such thing as unconditional love

All we truly expect is a PRETTY SURE thing

Sure enough that, as long as we don’t go too crazy, it feels just like a sure thing

Responding to Guilt

Guilt is like a blinking red light letting you know that something requires attention and assessment.

The best thing to do is to give it attention and to make an assessment. If there’s nothing wrong, turn off the false alarm. If there is an issue, work to resolve it.

The worst thing to do is to leave it alone. Not only will it be an ongoing source of suffering, but it will also leave you blind to new issues.
